An unknown man didn’t just break into a Mayfair computer store on Sept. 19, he became a repeat visitor there. Police say that the burglar raided the property three times early that morning and even changed his clothes in between his visits.

A video surveillance camera recorded the action, which occurred at Ape Tek, 7306 Frankford Ave. Just before 1 a.m., the crook shattered a front window, reached into the display area and grabbed what appeared to be several small electronic items. At the time, he was wearing a long-sleeve shirt or sweatshirt, possibly with a hood, and long pants.

The man returned about 48 minutes later wearing a T-shirt, shorts and sneakers. He climbed into the front display case, grabbed what appeared to be another small electronic item and exited through the broken window. Four minutes after that, he showed up again, climbed through the window, walked across the sales floor and examined some boxes before fleeing empty-handed.

Police described the burglar as a white man in his 40s. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view the video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
